When we put God in control–we don’t have to be! This is one of the most precious and peaceful lessons of surrendering to His will. When we place God in control, we don’t have to scheme, scrape, plot, worry, stress-out, etc.—about ANYTHING. This applies to our own life’s problems or anyone else we are trying to help. When we place God in control of EVERYTHING, He does it ALL much better than we do anyway. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” ‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭55:9‬) When we know God, we know the highest form of intelligence! When we learn to talk to Him, we ALWAYS learn something new. When we learn to sense His Spirit speaking to us, He does it even while we are talking to other people. He gives us words of life and light that are so clearly above our own ability to reason or sense that we absolutely KNOW the wisdom is from Him. He knows what is in the heart and mind of every human and the solution to every problem—so why wouldn’t we seek His advice above any other? In my experience–we don’t seek His advice FIRST because we haven’t EXPERIENCED the power of His presence. The power of His presence is not found by casually pursuing Him—it is found when we passionately pursue Him–as we would pursue a lover. Pursuing God we find immense and immeasurable rewards from knowing Him. I’ve passionately pursued many loves in my lifetime and none has ever rewarded or satisfied me–like Him. He gives me love I didn’t deserve or comprehend, power I didn’t find in the gym, and intelligence I didn’t learn in school. The opposite of “intelligence” isn’t necessarily “foolishness”—rather, it is our decision to NOT pursue and know Omniscient God. When we passionately seek Him BEFORE–our social media, our work-out, our job, our family, our beauty routine—even our spouse or the love of our life—we find the greatest form of satisfaction possible that we can EVER experience. When we find Him, He becomes our ALL: “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Eph. ‭4:6‬)
