When we walk close to God, what comes out of us—is HIM! His presence is so magnificent that it fills every part of one who surrenders completely to Him. ANYONE can surrender to God and be possessed by His wondrous presence! He moves in and the things which drag us down—well—they just move out! We become ALL about Him and NOT about ourselves. One of the most incredible transformations is the evidence of Him which people begin to see in our eyes—it is amazing. People don’t look in our eyes and see emptiness, fear, nervousness, uncertainty, selfishness—they see love, satisfaction, confidence, courage and PEACE! One of my most absolutely favorite promises and reminders from God is: “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’” (Rom.‬ ‭8:14-15‬) Ah, the sweet surrender in Jesus! This is where we receive immense blessing and satisfaction beyond what is humanly attainable. When we allow Christ to plant the seed of salvation in our heart, no one can take it away from us; however, we can bury it so far below our own will that we never allow it to grow and mature so that it can bear the fruit it was intended to produce for the benefit of ourselves, for others, and–for the glorification of God. Money, power and family cannot buy God’s presence in our life—nor can any power strip His presence from us: His presence is our choice. Our will is the only power standing between us and God’s presence and we are the worst enemy of our own heart. The choice to live gloriously in God’s presence is found in our choice to surrender to God’s will: We make that choice–every hour of every day. If we do not have peace, courage, satisfaction, confidence and love—it is because we have chosen our own way instead of God’s will. His magnificent presence has been placed in the heart of everyone who has received His gift of salvation! When we pursue His way with passion, we find the magnificent and glorious existence He has destined for us!
