The closer we are to God’s presence, the more we see His miracles. One night, my son and I were discussing a miracle God had given us. We had prayed about a really tough situation and when God solved the problem in a way that we could’ve never anticipated, we discussed that there was no way it was “chance” or “luck;” because we’d seen Him give this kind of “out of the blue” and unthinkable solution before. God is much more brilliant than we are and He does not think like we think; moreover, WE should learn to think like HE thinks. We will never know how God thinks unless we know HIM. Knowing God opens our eyes to His power, wisdom and love. Job said it well: “How you have helped him who has no power! How you have saved the arm that has no strength! How you have counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge! With whose help have you uttered words, and whose breath has come out from you?” (Job 26:2-4) When we know God, we know we are nothing without Him and then–we can see Him work. It is the pride of our our own “wisdom” that many time blinds us from seeing the magnificent working of God’s miraculous wisdom. The works of God are unmistakable. Just like we can readily identify the good works that our family and friends do for us; when we know God, we learn to recognize the miraculous works HE does for us. For example, when we receive a gift from a family member, we don’t question the origins of the gift as being by “chance” or “luck” because we know the character and love of the giver. The miracles and gifts from God are no different. However, we will never recognize or appreciate HIS gifts until we seek to know HIM. We are His precious children and He is our loving Father. He is the source of ALL goodness in our lives. The more we know Him, the more we SEE His unmistakable and unmatched goodness and the everyday miraculous gifts which He gives us. KNOW God and SEE His miracles!
