The majority of my clients come to seek legal advice during some of the toughest valley’s of their life. They are afraid, uncertain, sorrowful and want to know that everything is going to turn out ok. I can’t tell them with 100% certainly they’re going to win their case; however, I can share the 100% certainty of God. God has the power to keep His promises. He is the only One who will always love us, never betray us, never leave us, fill us with power and wisdom. He is the only Source of peace which permeates every storm. The Bible says: “O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble…The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness, and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure…For the Lord is our judge; the Lord is our lawgiver; the Lord is our king; he will save us.” (Isaiah 33:2, 5-6, 22) There is immeasurable treasure with God—salvation, stability, wisdom, knowledge, strength, peace, blessings, etc. Knowing God opens our eyes to all the blessings which He’s been waiting to give us during the entire time we were struggling without Him. Before I started seeking to know God, I could offer only inadequate comfort to my clients with words like–“it’ll be ok,” or “justice will be done,”—when I had no idea if either of those things would happen. Now I can give them certainty. What an amazing job we all have–to be able to give people the truth about the certainty of God–amidst their shifting sands and storms! When people look at me across my desk with fear and tears, I can give them hope and peace—because I have HIM to share. Every morning, during my quiet time with Him, I connect into His power source and He infuses me with His peace, wisdom and knowledge so I can share it with others. To have HIS power, we must connect with HIM. We are an inadequate stand-alone source! He is the only certainty we can give others when the only certainty they’ll otherwise ever know–is death. We are God’s couriers of light, love, truth and hope to a dying world and this is our most important job today!
