When God is the greatest object of our faith, we are empowered to do the impossible. Are there things you can identify that you’ve done which you KNOW were “impossible?” If not–it’s time to re-evaluate where you’ve placed your faith. Jesus said, “with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) Faith in God is the key which opens the door to ALL possibilities. So where have you placed your faith?

For 20 years–after I was saved–my greatest faith was in myself, my wealth, my possessions, my career, my church, my pastor, my family and my friends. Because I did not know God, these things and people are where I found my greatest sense of security–thus my faith was in them. I was His child–but I didn’t know Him. Then–when I lost nearly everything that I’d placed my faith in for my entire life–I was finally able to SEE God’s faithful love for me. I resolved to pursue Him! As I got to know Him, my faith in Him increased because I experienced Him as my most faithful friend. It became natural to place my faith in someone who so unconditionally loved me. Knowing Him changed me.

That’s when the miracles began.

As I got closer to Him, He began to fill me with His power, wisdom and love. He began to do “impossible” works through me. What does that look like? Well, we often believe that the greatest miracles are things that involve money, inanimate objects or physical health–like God supplying money to pay bills or healing a loved one–and yes–I’ve seen Him do these things too. However, these aren’t the greatest miracles. The elements readily obey God–but He gave every human the option to NOT choose Him. Thus, the greatest miracle is when a person willingly turns their heart to God. This is the eternal miracle. When our greatest faith is in Him, we tap into His power, wisdom and love, and because He knows the heart of every person–He guides us in how to touch people’s hearts and draw them to Him. It’s an amazing experience to see someone find God! Faith in Him makes us part of everlasting miracles.
