When God is the source of our strength, we are constantly refreshed. Sometimes at the end of the day, I feel like I have no more to give. If one more person calls or texts me for help–I will hide! That’s when I need to reset my heart and resolve to draw my strength from Him instead of myself. The Bible makes it clear that the only way we can do ALL things is THROUGH Christ: “I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13) To recharge God’s strength within me–I must get alone with Him. Sometimes I need to confess sins.

Sometimes I just need to listen and trust.

God promises us that when we do His will, He guides us. Our life becomes like a spring which never runs dry: “Your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah‬ ‭(58:8-11‬) Amazing! When I’m mentally and emotionally exhausted, it’s typically because I’ve been operating in MY strength instead of HIS. I need to let go of every situation as it arises and give it to Him.

God doesn’t expect me to be a superhero–He desires to be mine. When I remain close to Him, I serve by His almighty strength–for His glory. His Word says: “Serve by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.” (‭1 Peter ‭4‬:‭11‬) It’s a crazy world outside of God’s protection. We need Him for every step of our journey. He is our continual a source of strength!
