If you could have the greatest power and the richest wisdom in the entire world—would you? We may. Indeed, that was Paul’s prayer: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians‬ ‭1:17-20‬) As children of God, we are given the ability to possess the wisdom of God and the power which raised Christ from the dead! Do we?

How could Paul pray so boldly for the Ephesians to be given “the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God” and the “exceeding greatness of God’s power?” It’s because He had confidence in his relationship with God! He knew God. He had experienced God’s power and wisdom. If we don’t know God to the extent that we’ve experienced Him, then we won’t ask for His wisdom and power because we don’t believe it exists. If we believe it exists, we never want to miss a minute of it! When we know Him we see His wisdom and power working all around us!

The gifts of God’s power and wisdom are readily accessible to those who seek to know Him! Knowing God mean we love Him and spend time with Him. We follow His ways. (John 14:15) When we love our Father, He see Him do the impossible. We hear our voice speak wisdom we know is higher than our own, we watch God work plans mightier than we imagined. To possess God’s power and wisdom He must possess our whole heart. When we give every part of ourselves to Him, we receive power and wisdom beyond our greatest dreams!‬
