Loving others is dangerous—but worth it. Jesus thought so too. He thought we were worth it. When we learn to love God, we learn we are perfectly loved and He enables us to love without reservation. So, we can drop our defenses and share God’s grace. We aren’t afraid to share our own shameful past and how God’s grace rescued us so that another person who is struggling with their own shame may also find their path to God’s love. We don’t care what they think about us because we want them to think about God.

God gives us boldness because we know His love isn’t going anywhere.

It’s ours. The shame of our past has been forgiven and replaced with His friendship. We aren’t afraid to share even the most shameful details of our failures if it serves to show others that we have been where they are and God loves them! Our life is a storybook of grace for souls searching for theThe Savior. When courageous love has overtaken our heart and we are unafraid to love at the risk of our own pride and reputation, then we know God’s Spirit is the strongest presence in our life. The Bible says, “God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love.” (‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7)

When we love Him, we aren’t afraid of pain because we’ve experienced His love, and we know His love is more powerful than our pain. His Word says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” (‭1 John‬ ‭4:18‬) When we’re close enough to God, we’re not afraid to love because we know we are loved. God’s love is like Him—Almighty! When we live in the Spirit of God, the fear of rejection doesn’t paralyze us because His love frees us from fear. His perfect love takes away our fear and allows us to love dangerously.
