“The Harbinger,” by Jonathan Cahn, kindled a fire in me to bring our nation back to God. This begins with me—and you. We must worship God above the gods of gold, prestige, power, or—anything. We must return to Him as our security and ultimate source of power. It is an act of defiance against God to trust in anything more than we trust Him. When we defy God, we destroy ourselves.

The U.S.A. is much like Israel because it is one of the only nations birthed upon the foundation of God’s promises. However, we are on a destructive path because we have rejected God. The words of George Washington in America’s first inaugural address in 1789 were: “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself hath ordained.” We must return to God to have His blessings and protection. Neither our wealth or our government will save us.

Our hope must be in God.

His Word says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds. The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.” (Psalms‬ ‭33:12-22‬)

When our greatest hope is in God, He becomes the strength of our Nation.
