Can we identify miracles in our life? When we experience God’s power, it produces life’s most magnificent moments. Moses, who heard God speak from a burning bush, saw God strike the enemies of Israel with plagues, part the Red Sea, burst water from a rock, drop manna from Heaven—wrote: “There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty. The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, ‘Destroy.’” (‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭33:26-27) Moses aptly described God’s power from the perspective of a lifetime of experiencing it.

How would we describe God’s power in our life? Have we seen God work miracles? If not—why not? It’s certainly not because God is less powerful today than He was 3,000 years ago! To experience God’s power, we must experience God’s presence. To experience God’s presence, we must rid ourselves of the things which separate us from Him. We must seek to know Him more than we want to know anything else. When we know Him, His promises define our expectations. He says: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.” (Isaiah‬ ‭41:10-11) Wow!

Do we experience God’s power to the degree that we’re completely unafraid?

When we know God, His power courses through us. We become part of His miracles. The greatest miracle is a transformed heart. It is the first miracle we experience. As God fills us, we become empowered with Him and then—we begin to see Him working miracles through us!
