Hope is a powerful force. When it’s placed in the wrong person or things—it can nearly destroy us. I’ve been there—in absolute despair amongst the smoking rubble of my decimated hope which was placed in someone or something less than God. When hope is in God, we are never disappointed! I’ve been there too—on that victorious mountain or in that peaceful valley where my hope never wavers because of my earthly circumstances.

The miracle of hope in Him is something magnificent to witness!

Seeing souls touched by His Spirit working through me is a humbling reminder of the incredible power of hope in Him. The more I seek to be close to Him, the more I realize I’m hopeless without Him. He has taught me the wisdom of placing my hope in Him instead of—myself, others, health, wealth or power. Paul wrote: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬) “Lively hope” produces tireless, enthusiastic, God-centered ambition.

When God is our center we always have hope—we see possibilities and potential in any situation! Hope in God changes our view of life. Our cup isn’t just half-full—it’s overflowing! Our greatest blessings are no longer the things we possess but rather, the people God’s Spirit has touched through us. Hope in Him gives us the faith to reach out to the hopeless because the unseen results are not dependent upon us. The results are His and they are in His hands. When He is our hope we ride upon His powerful wings. When we seek Him, we find mountain-moving, soul-saving, heart-healing, powerfulhope!
