Do we live like God is real? Is He so real to us that He’s the first one we turn to for advice for all our daily problems? Is He so real to us that His peace rules the majority of our day? Is He so real to us that His wisdom and miraculous power is constantly being revealed in what we say and do? Is He so real to us that His love is evident in how we treat others? It’s only when we are close to God that He becomes real to us. When God is real to us—He is the evidence of our faith.

The Bible says: “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.” (Acts‬ ‭17:26-29)

Do we “live and move” in Him?

When we experience the presence of God, He becomes the most important part of who we are and what we do. He is more important than our goals, because glorifying Him IS our goal. He’s more important than our physical beauty because we want people to see Him when they look at us. He’s more important than our worldly possessions because His peace, love, joy, wisdom and power are among our greatest possessions. How does God become this real to us? We must spend time talking with Him. We must stop allowing our sin to trample on His love. We must read His Word and fall in love with Him. When He is real to us—everyone can see Him in us!
