Each day is a gift from God, and maybe that’s why it’s called: “The Present.” Open The Present in joy and anticipation, over the magnificent gift, because tomorrow we may not be given The Present. “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118‬:24‬) ‬‬‬‬‬‬

Recently, I’ve had a sobering reminder through several sudden and unexpected deaths of people I know. I cannot live as though there will always be a tomorrow for me, therefore, I need to fully appreciate “The Present” of today. “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” (Proverbs 27‬:1‬) ‬‬‬‬‬‬

It matters not whether the day ahead looks difficult or looks wonderful, God is always wonderful and His gift to me of “The Present” should always be cherished!

His love and mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness is great!  “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.’ The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” (Lamentations 3‬:21-25‬) He is so good to His children to give us today as His Present to us. Unwrap it carefully and enjoy every part of it, because we will never have another one exactly like it! ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
