I love to read! Especially books about people who inspire me with the stories of their struggles and triumphs. I remember when I met Army Ranger Keni Thomas, who served in the battle of Mogadishu, and whom I’d read about in the book Black Hawk Down. What an inspiration both Thomas and the book were to me!

As I think back about how I was inspired, God reminds me that my life is like a book. I wonder what, if anything, my book inspires in others. If people read my book, does Jesus appear in it enough to persuade them that He is real? I certainly don’t want the only appearance that He makes in my book to be as a fairy tale, a passing thought, a Genie in a jug, and especially not a profanity. Nor do I want Him compartmentalized into just one chapter!

God wants our life story to reflect His Word written on our hearts.

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (Jeremiah 31‬:33‬) ‬‬‬‬

He wants us to be “a letter from Christ” for all the world to read! “And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” (2 Corinthians  3‬:3) There is no better life story, than one which is permeated from beginning to end with the love of Christ, which profoundly inspires others to also seek and obtain His great love! ‬‬‬‬‬‬
