Oftentimes, I catch myself “stressing out” about how I’m going to solve my own problems and the many problems of others, which I encounter every day in my job. We are “born to trouble” and will all  have problems from the day we are born, until the day that we take our last breath. “For affliction does not come from the dust, nor does trouble sprout from the ground, but man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward.” (Job 5:6)

Instead of “stressing out” about our problems, we should be “seeking God” because He does unsearchable and marvelous things.

“As for me, I would seek God, and to God would I commit my cause, who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number: he gives rain on the earth and sends waters on the fields; sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety. He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success. He catches the wise in their own craftiness, and the schemes of the wily are brought to a quick end…So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts her mouth.” (Job‬ 5‬:7-13, 16‬) ‬‬

As we approach today, we must remember to commit our goals and  problems to He Who gives the rain, comforts the sad, overcomes evil and makes “injustice shut her mouth.” Isn’t that great?? He has the answer to every problem and when we commit our life and goals to Him, He does unsearchable and marvelous things. If our goals are not His, then of course we “stress out” because we are working against Almighty God!

God gave us all a free will and thus, we are surrounded by trouble and pain caused by humanity’s rejection of God. We don’t have to choose to live in stress, and under the power of evil because as His children, He gives us the ability to live in the center of His will, where He frees us from stress. So when we begin to “stress out,” we need to remind ourselves to “seek God” instead!

Walking in His presence becomes the best part of our life—more necessary than food, water or anything we deem essential!
