Anytime I worry, I’m worrying more than I should. When I worry, it is insulting to God because I am doubting His love, power, wisdom—and His promises! Jesus said: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” (Matthew 7:7)

Do I believe this and live like I believe it?

When I begin worrying, how do I get inside my mind and turn it off? I have spent countless hours lying in bed, worrying about how I was going to win a case, how I was going to pay the bills, or worrying about other issues. It was time completely wasted. I will never get it back. Rather than worry—I should have made my first reaction a prayer for help from God, who has all the answers.

When I ask someone I trust for help, there is never a question in my mind that they will help me. So why do I doubt that God will help me? It isn’t because God is untrustworthy. Rather, it’s because I underestimate and underappreciate Who He is because I do not know Him like I should. It’s like being lost in a forest with the best navigator in the world and refusing to ask him for help. It’s just plain foolish!!!

Worry IS foolish when we know God! I am determined to know Him better and always ask HIM for directions!
