What kind of warrior are you? I think most of us prefer to live in peace—not war. However, the Bible warns us:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter‬ ‭5:8‬)

Our enemy is powerful and to be effective, we must have a warrior mentality. The devil uses the forces of the world, our flesh, and hell to try to derail us from our glorious purpose. If we are not vigilant—like a warrior on the battlefield—we will become lax and can even be duped into joining forces against God! Satan uses people for his evil purposes. I don’t want to be one of them—do you? Think about it—the devil did not put Jesus on the cross himself. He used people to do it!

So, what kind of warrior are you and whose side are you fighting on?

There is no middle ground. Jesus said, “He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.” (Luke‬ ‭11:23‬) A “warrior”—who is playing around, hiding, otherwise occupied, or away from the battle—is a liability and a coward. Worse, one who pretends to be on God’s side, but lives in the lies of the enemy is a traitor. I’ve been both a coward and a traitor and there is no more sad and miserable way to live! God had mercy on this wandering and disreputable warrior and re-activated me for His glorious purpose!

When I am with God, I am fearless because no one can stand against Him! Living as a fearless warrior means every day I SEEK to engage the power of God’s Spirit. When I live choosing good and forsaking evil I am a warrior who brings glory to my King!
