Most of us have done regrettable things; but when we repent and humble ourselves, God gives us His gift of wisdom that can heal relationships. Humility opens our heart and enables us to learn God’s secrets. How can we, as oft-failing humans, know God’s secrets? Well, we must squarely own up to the sin that separates us from a close relationship with God. We cannot minimize our wrongdoing or blame others. If so, we will walk through life barren and alone in our great pride, and never experience the great secrets of God. Furthermore, we will fail to have meaningful relationships—only to gain what? Our magnificent pride?

When our heart is humble, God shows us our failure and His Spirit moves us to repentance. We become transparent and seek healing for ourselves and with others. This is God’s process of healing and it transforms us; others see this and know He is real. Then, we are fit for Our Father’s work. The Bible says the “a secret and hidden wisdom of God” is imparted to those who love God. (1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:6-10) Proverbs says: “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.” (Proverbs‬ ‭11:2‬) ‬

When we humble ourselves, God gives us His wisdom.
