God doesn’t force His love on anyone; but His love is looking for us! I was reminded of this when praying for some young people I love very much. I always want to say something wise and wonderful to persuade them that seeking God and His love is what is best for them; however, the truth is, each of us must come to God because we want Him. We must discover and be drawn to the beauty of God’s love, just like a person who discovers the beauty of the ocean, or anything else God created.

Perhaps the very young struggle with seeking God because they haven’t experienced enough of life’s lesser pleasures to know that they don’t satisfy the heart. That was defiantly MY reason. I wish I had been wise enough to know when I was younger how satisfying God is. I’m so thankful for the journey I’m on now finding the love of God through desiring Him above all else. The experience of God’s love simply defies earthly definition.

The song “Multiplied” by Needtobreathe is a great description of the experience my heart has with God:

Your Love is like radiant diamonds;

bursting inside us, we cannot contain;

Your love will surely come find us;

like blazing wildfires singing Your name.

God of mercy sweet love of mine;

I have surrendered to Your design;

May this offering stretch across the skies,

and these hallelujahs be multiplied.

His love is bursting in my heart, and I want Him to use me to multiply it in ways I have never imagined! It is becoming my prayer for others that they desire to seek after God and discover the same passion for Him. He seeks us with a passion greater than we can imagine. The God of mercy, loves us more than we will ever know! “Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.” (Psalms‬ ‭136:26‬)
