God’s presence always provides constant positive, powerful energy. Some days I wake up extremely tired, weighed down by people, their problems, their lies, and frustrated by the bombardments of life. I just want to go back to bed and hide! However, it never ceases to amaze me how, when I begin talking to God, I begin feeling encouraged and energized! It is like that first good morning hug from someone who loves me—an all-enveloping, warm, comforting hug which makes me feel completely cherished and energized. What a gift His presence is! He is the light, strength, and clarity that makes life worth living.

How does this happen?

We must get to know God. This relationship cannot begin until we are born again and become one of His children. Then, we must pursue Him in order to develop the kind of relationship where we feel cherished. When we learn to trust Him enough to make Him Lord of our life, He gives us His refreshment and enlightenment. The Bible says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” (Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-8‬) ‬‬

We trust God for the big things—like keeping the sun, moon and stars in their place and the Earth in orbit—can we also not trust Him with our life? It certainly takes more power and ingenuity for God to sustain the world than it does for Him to solve our problems. So when health problems, financial crises, relationship struggles, etc., begin to overwhelm us, we need to remember that our Father works miracles of great magnitude every day and—we can entrust our problems to Him! When we know Him, we trust Him. Living in the presence of God is our soul’s greatest energy!‬‬‬‬‬‬
