When others are around you, do they know they’ve been in God’s presence? When God has transformed our heart—they do.  Jesus said, “”Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew‬ ‭5:8‬) If we, ourselves, don’t “see God,” how can others—see God—in us? I don’t pretend to know exactly what Jesus meant by this statement, however, my experience is that the more time I spend with God and read His Word, the more I experience His heart. His presence makes my heart pure.

A pure heart can’t be faked because it comes from God. We have to be the real deal with Him. When we are real with God, He becomes real to us. The more God becomes real to us, the more transparent we are with others, and the more they see Him. The pure in heart abound in the rare and beautiful fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness. (Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23)

When we’ve been around someone who abounds in the fruits of the Spirit, we see God in ways much richer than we see Him anywhere else—even in Creation. Pureness in heart does not exist apart from God. When we seek Him with all our heart—we have HIS heart.
