What price would you pay to have peace dominate your life? So many of clients come into my office with raging problems and lives completely devoid of peace. They are desperate for peace. But no amount of money they spend on me is going to buy them peace. I know; I’ve been there.

Money can’t buy true peace because—God isn’t for sale.

Jesus is “The Prince of Peace,” and if we want peace to reside in our heart, He must be Lord of our life. (Isaiah 9:6) He must be our most important reason for living. His glory must be our motive and our motivation for everything we do.

The Bible has a simple formula for peace: “What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians‬ ‭4:9‬) “Practice” God’s Word and the “God of peace”  will be with you.

Have you planned for you peace today by contemplating the practice of God’s Word in every aspect of your life? When I choose to live God’s way, I like to call it the “path of peace.” God’s peace is a great gauge for knowing when I’ve left the path of His divine plan for my life. His peace discourages me from throwing away my life.

The price for God’s peace—is our heart—but, He isn’t asking us to give anything to Him that He didn’t already give to us.
