When it was reported that three Vietnamese students violated the South Korean mandated COVID-19 quarantine by leaving their phones at home so they couldn’t be tracked, it reminded me that Someone IS keeping track of EVERY move we make. While it’s disconcerting to know, that through technology, the government can track what we do, what we say, and where we go—it should be far MORE important to us that—God is aware of everything we DO, SAY and THINK.
God knows everything about us—without the benefit of technology—and this should give us great comfort!
God’s omniscience belongs to Him—but, He shares it with those who seek Him. For example, when God gave Daniel not only the dream itself, but also the interpretation of the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar, he wrote: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.” (Daniel 2:20-23) This is amazing!!!
When God reveals His “deep and hidden” wisdom to us, then just like Daniel, we are on track to shine His light in the darkness.
God knows everything about all of us, even down to the number of hairs on our head. (Matthew 10:29-31) Through Jesus, He has given us the free gift of eternal life. Our physical life is fleeting, but what we do with it has eternal consequences. When we humble ourselves and confess our need for God, we place our heart in a position to receive HIS wisdom within the shelter of HIS grace. (1 Peter 5:5-6) How do we know if someone possesses God’s wisdom? The Bible says: “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.” (James 3:13)
When we live in God’s Divine wisdom, we are greatly comforted in knowledge that Our Heavenly Father loves us enough to keep track of us.
God cares for us better than He cares for the lilies of the field. (Matthew 6:28-30)
