Will we allow our nation to be torn apart by the lies, hate, and anarchy of a small fraction of our population whose screaming voices are attempting to drown out all others? Don’t we want to change this and bring healing to our neighbors? Healing begins with our relationship with God. Recently, BLM activist Shaun King called for all images depicting Jesus as a “white European” and his mother to be torn down because they’re forms of “white supremacy” and “racist propaganda.” The mob responded and in several cities, churches were being burned and statues of Mary and Jesus were being desecrated.

We might wonder—Amidst this craziness, what can one person do to make a difference?

We must be constantly reminding ourselves that WE are children of THE omnipotent God AND when we are with HIM no one can stand against us!

God’s Word proclaims: “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” (Colossians‬ ‭1:16‬) Our God “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬) The anarchists only have the futile power of man to fight their war—we have someone far greater—Elohim, who is Supreme in all the universe.

We must passionately seek Him each day BEFORE we wade into the insanity! We must have His mind in us before we allow false or wicked thoughts to invade—so we may discern truth. God’s Word is quick and powerful and cuts through the muddiness and lies. Like light in darkness, even just the mention of His name by one full of His Spirit—sends the forces of darkness into confusion and panic.

When we pursue God, we “fan into flame—the gift of God,” and we KNOW He has given us “a spirit—not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy‬ ‭1:6-7‬)
