We when choose to be intentionally thankful it makes us remarkably generous and thus, we achieve victory over the enemy of dissatisfaction. God promises: “If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” (Isaiah‬ 58:10-11‬)

You can only “pour yourself out” CONTINUOUSLY when you recognize the GREAT abundance God has given you.

Recognizing God’s abundance is called—thankfulness.

Even when times are hard—when we are close to God—it’s like God’s light reveals His abundance so instead of the emptiness of darkness, we see plenty everywhere we look. Next to Him, we know that HE is our greatest source for ALL good things and His well never runs dry. Of God’s abundance, King David wrote: “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want;” and “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23:1, 5‬)‬‬

If you are feeling dissatisfied by your life right now, please consider why. If you are overwhelmed by the feeling that you’re missing something really important, then that’s a sure sign that you’re missing the most important relationship of your lifetime—knowing God. On the other hand, if you’ve been born again and are feeling dissatisfied, then perhaps you are not intentionally working to be close to God—

EVERY,

SINGLE,

DAY!

When we are close to Him, His presence gives us such abundance in all the most important areas of our life—the eternal ones. Make God’s presence your priority and you will find more satisfaction than you ever knew existed. You will have so much that you can’t help but give it away!

In the abundance of God’s presence, our dissatisfaction is washed away in the overflowing stream of blessings we channel to others.
