I remember being outraged when a juvenile broke into my car and stole some valuables; but I should be even more angry with anyone who steals my invaluable faith in God—right? We all have faith in something or someone, but faith in God is, by far, the most treasured! If you’ve experienced it—you know what I mean.

The fact is, WE are our own worst thief—of our faith in God.

WE rob OURSELVES when we place faith in anyone less than God—including—faith in ourself. Faith in God gives us advantages that faith in nothing or no one else—can do! He is God! He is the Creator. He is the sustainer of everything. He is the beginning and the end. He knows all, sees all and has all power. Do you know anything or anyone better to place your faith in?

Because God is Who He is—when we place our faith in Him—we become all we were created to be; and with just a tiny bit of faith in Him—we can accomplish things that seem impossible to the rest of the world.

Our faith in God can only be stolen by the enemy of God—which is sin. If we, as Christians, choose to live in sin, we are choosing to live apart from the presence of God. We begin to place our faith into things lesser than God It’s a sad step down. We waste our faith on things lesser than God.

Sin causes us to doubt our knowledge of God and steals our faith in Him.

But when we draw close to God by eliminating sin and replacing it with living in love for Him, our faith in Him becomes stronger. As we exercise faith in Him, we become excited about the miracles we see Him perform through our life and we want to experience even more faith in Him! Our life becomes a transparent picture of faith. When others see us, they know more about God because He influences everything about us!

The Bible gives us the recipe for building our faith in God: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2) The more we work to transform our mind to be like Christ, the more our faith in Him grows.

Our faith in God allows HIS works to be manifested through us and we are a light in the darkness.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
