I like to think I’m pretty much in control of my life, but the truth is—when I think this way—it’s rather childish. This kind of thinking leads me to inordinately focus on my temporal, and very frail—physical existence—in order to quell my anxiety about what is beyond my control. I tend to believe if I’m more prepared for—disease, war, COVID-19, financial collapse, or heartbreak—I will somehow avoid it. How can I be so naive, when there is a much better way of thinking which prepares me for any calamity?

When I change my thinking to build my trust in GOD; I’m trusting the ONLY ONE who knows the future!

The Bible proclaims: “O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field, The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas. O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!” (Psalms‬ ‭8:1-9‬)

When we recognize that God is the one who is REALLY in control—we seek to get close to Him. We stop fighting Him. We desire to have HIM control everything we do and say. He has the best plans, the best way, and HE will make our paths perfect.

Trust God with every decision and He will enlighten you to the path of glory and honor He has destined for you today.
