Faith To Walk God’s Path
When we know God, we’re not afraid of a future we can’t predict because we know God is already there. ~KFaith
In this tumultuous time in history, we do our heart much good to remember we are not at war with other humans, but rather, against the forces of evil; therefore, we can live in hope and joy because we are free to love—even those who hate us. The Bible says:“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” (II Corinthians 10:3-5)
We are confident because we are mighty in the power of God who pulls down any stronghold which stands against Him. No one can stand against God. Thus, we don’t have to be engaged in hate based rhetoric or arguments with those who desperately need love. We don’t have to “one-up” anyone in a political or religious discussions. It typically accomplishes nothing eternal.
The Bible says: “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.” (I Corinthians 13:4-8)
