Like the taste of a fully ripe peach, God’s timing is marvelous in its perfection! Eaten a day earlier, or a week earlier—the peach would not taste nearly as good. The same is true for our life. We don’t have to be anxious because the things we desire have not happened. God has a plan. His Word says:

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Just like picking a flower before it has bloomed–if we push or rush what is not yet supposed to be, we fail to obtain the FULL flavor of God’s blessings. His Word says that His goodness comes when we SEEK and WAIT:

“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” (Lamentations 3:25)

We cannot fully comprehend the mind of God, but we can be filled with His Spirit which enables us to LIVE contently in the perfection of His timing. His Word says:

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Like a photograph taken at just the right moment to capture a child’s wonder, there are so many beautiful things we enjoy when the timing is perfect. Why would we believe that perfect timing doesn’t also apply to the more important parts of our lives as well—like career, relationships, finances and family?

God does so many things perfectly every day—like the breath you just took without even a single thought, and the way the sun is shining even when we can’t see it.

God performs miracles every second of each day; thus, we may also entrust our heart’s greatest desires to His perfect timing.

We need only seek His will for today and wait for His direction. There’s no need to rush or be anxious.

Just relax, listen, and trust God; He’s got you more than you know.
