We like to believe we can change people’s lives for the better and give them satisfaction by giving them our time and funneling resources into their lives. But the fact is, any satisfaction WE give them—is always a short-term solution. We don’t have enough time and resources to give people what they really need. In fact, we don’t even have enough time and resources to give OURSELVES what we really need. Only God completely satisfies to deep longing of our soul. The only lasting satisfaction we can give to others—is to point them to God.

However, we can’t teach others how to be satisfied by God if we aren’t satisfied with Him ourselves!

When we are satisfied by God, we don’t value money, possessions, position, family, goals, etc., above the peace that comes from our relationship with Him. When we fall in love with Him, He satisfies us, and transforms the purpose of our life. We desire Him above all else. Isaiah wrote:

“The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; Your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. LORD, you establish peace for us; all that WE have accomplished YOU have done for us.” (Isaiah‬ ‭26:7-9, 12‬)

When our satisfaction is in God, like a person in love, our passionate desire for Him is bared for the whole world to see and—so is our COMPLETE SATISFACTION. Through us, people are drawn to God like they are drawn to the infectious smile of the infant in this photograph.

Does your life reflect the complete satisfaction of God’s presence?

If not, begin the journey to find your satisfaction in Him! The only thing you have to lose is—the dissatisfaction you’ve been living in your entire life.

Aren’t you ready for deep, soul-satisfaction?

Pray with me, “Oh, Lord, unveil my soul’s deep desire for You. I wait for You. May my soul yearn for you in the night, and my spirit earnestly seeks You.”
