Millions of dollars are spent every year in pursuit of “higher” education; but the Creator of all things offers us a FREE education in the greatest wisdom known to man. We are enrolled, when we accept the gift of salvation that Jesus paid dearly for. This great gift enables us to be educated by our Creator about ALL the greatest mysteries of life and be given the wisdom that exceeds that of even the most brilliant man on earth. The Bible says,
“For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.” (1 Corinthians 2:11-13)
The highest education known to man is taught by God’s Spirit!
Isn’t God’s wisdom is worth pursuing?
Think about how many resources you expend pursuing your education in Christ. When church attendance, a quick devotional, and a two minute prayer is the extent of our commitment, we can’t possibly expect to capture even a fracture His infinite knowledge. For seven long years, I spent thousands of hours studying and went into ridiculous debt to earn my law degree. When God began drawing me to Him, I realized that my commitment to know Him came nowhere near my my commitment to become an attorney. But—when I committed to passionately pursue God and make the time and spend the energy much like law school—the wisdom I obtained from Him is FAR richer than anything I learned in school.
You see, when our principal educator is God, we gain a foundation upon which to build all other education. He created us. He knows our gifts better than we do; and He enlightens us about how to maximize them. He’s wiser than any professor. Further…
God is more personally vested in us than even our parents.
Each day, He has already written our IEP which is tailored by His deep knowledge of our unique abilities as well as what is in our future. God gives us as much of His time as we give Him of ours. His lessons build character and provide the foundation for building relationships and making decisions.
God offers His wisdom to anyone who loves Him; to love God—is to obey Him and—loving God makes us wise.
