Do you prefer the chains of stress to the freedom of peace?

It’s really NOT a rhetorical question! You see—as a born again CHILD of the Prince of Peace—His Spirit in us—gives us the power to choose. We often think that it is our circumstances which rob us of peace; but the fact is, it’s actually more indicative that something isn’t right between us and God.

If, at the end of the day, I’m filled with frustration, stress, and discontent—it’s a sure sign that I’ve let something get between me and God. GOD isn’t stressed out—and I don’t have to be either. When things are right between us—it doesn’t matter how big my problems are—HE can handle them! I like to remind myself:

It’s not the size of my problems that stress me out—it’s my distance from God.

God doesn’t get stressed out; and when I’m close to Him—I don’t either. When I’m close to Him, I HEAR Him. He GUIDES me in His path of peace. When I’m following His will then I’m doing His business and nothing is too hard for HIM. God said:

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)

Life is hard enough without God—so when I’m making choices today, I need to very cognizant of the fact that OBEDIENCE MATTERS:

Disobedience leads to stress!

God’s children hold the keys to the Kingdom and the heartstrings of the King of Kings. We can trust HIM in all things and gives us the confidence to know that ALL the treasures of HIS Kingdom belong to us. Our Heavenly Father is “able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think!” (Ephesians 3:20a)

We, as God’s children, don’t have to worry and figure everything out on our own. We just need to be close to Him, listen, and obey. He can accomplish more than we comprehend.

God’s plans for you today are GREATER than your problems; and much BETTER than you imagine!
